$63,800 for a 1997 Acura Integra Type R. Can you believe it?

Well, you should, because her odometer tells us that she has traveled only 1191 miles, which is about 1916 kilometers!

In recent days, an auction organized by Barrett-Jackson was held in Las Vegas. During this event, a 1997 Acura Integra Type R took off for $63,800, including commission.

As you may know, a brand new 2019 Premium Luxury Sedan Acura RLX (377-HP66 Sport Hybrid SH-AWD) has a starting price only at $61,900!

The reason why this Acura has been sold with a price more expensive than a new one because, despite its 21 years old, the car is practically new. Indeed, we can read on her odometer that she traveled only 1191 miles, which is about 1916 kilometers.

Moreover, this compact car from the Japanese manufacturer has everything to please a collector since it is a copy assembled in the first year of production of this version, ie 1997. It should be noted that it bears the number 37 on the 320 units produced that year.

While the seats are covered in black suede studded with red stitching, the bodywork is painted in white Championship.

Obviously, under the hood, we find the original block. It is a 1.8L four-cylinder engine with a power output of 200 horsepower. It is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.

In addition to the air conditioning system, it is equipped with power steering and braking, windows, mirrors, and electric doors as well as a six-speaker stereo system paired with a CD player.

As a worthy vintage car, this Integra Type R is accompanied by vintage documentation: window sticker, original purchase invoice, and the owner's manual.
