Mercedes-Benz had a showcase for its new minivan with full of improvements at the Paris Motor Show took place yesterday (October 2, 2018). The next generation of B-Class, considered to be a competitor to the BMW 2-Series Active/Gran Tourer, is significantly bigger than its predecessor and carries Mercedes’ modern design language. With the reform of Mercedes, the all-new 2019 B-Class really looks much better than the car it replaces and stands out from the minivan segment today. The new 2019 Mercedes minivan features shorter bumpers, more muscular body and of course redesigned front and rear ends. In addition, the new B-Class also comes with optional LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a larger spoiler on the roof and a variety of wheel options to choose from with sizes ranging from 16 to 19 inches. In addition, the German carmaker claimed that their engineers have to work hard to reduce wind noise as much as possible with some secret adjustments. In term of interior, the B-Class's driver's seat is 90mm taller than the latest A-Class's driver seat, and with the optimized cross-sections of the roof pillars, the B-Class driver now will have much better visibility. The 2019 B-Class's dashboard is similar to the 2019 A-Class dashboard (both the hatchback and the sedan), featuring two large dual screens that feel like a giant screen, five round air vents and luxurious interior ambient lighting. Thanks to the increased body width and the 30mm longer wheelbase, the front passenger's elbow, the rear headroom & legroom have all been increased. In addition, the trunk now will have a capacity from 455 to 705 liters when the rear seats are up and reaches 1,540 liters when the rear seats are folded down. Not only designed for a more comfortable ride, the new B-Class seats can also be equipped with optional features such as seats integrated massage function, heating and ventilation systems, as well as many other features that will be made public later for every variant. The 2019 Mercedes B-Class continues to attract public attention as it has some hi-end features from the S-Class, Mercedes's flagship product line, according to the German carmaker, the B-Class in certain situations can drive semi-autonomously. Under the hood, the new 2019 Mercedes-Benz B-Class comes with a range of new as well as upgraded engines, all meet the Euro 6d-TEMP emission standard. One of the engines available for the 2019 B-Class is the popular 1.5-liter dCi capable of producing 115 PS (114 hp / 85 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque, another is the 2.0-liter diesel delivering two power output levels of 147 and 188 horsepower. There is a confirm that two 4-cylinder 1.33 liters gasoline engines are also available, producing 134 horsepower and 161 horsepower respectively. Other engine options will be detailed later, according to Mercedes. A variant with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system will also be introduced later.
