Tesla is still far from starting delivery of its first semi-trailer trucks, but it is working hard to make it happen. [YOUTUBE_VIDEO:kCH9GU-SAY0] At least one visitor was surprised to see a Semi in development on the roads of Santa Clara, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Without a hitch, you can see Tesla's all-electric truck accelerating at a rather unusual speed for a vehicle of this size. At the presentation of the Semi, Tesla CEO Elon Musk assured that the truck could accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 5 seconds. Even with a trailer loaded in the back, Musk assures that its Semi will accelerate faster than a diesel-powered truck without a hitch. Promised by Tesla for 2019, the Semi should offer a range of 483 kilometers. Its starting price has been set at $150,000. For an additional $30,000, an extended-life version will also be available. It could travel up to 800 kilometers before needing recharging.
